ABCD is a rhombus. AB= BC = CD = AD = 10 cm. Length of diagonal, AC = 16 cm. Let diagonal ACBD meet at O.

1/2 AC = 16/2 = 8 = AO (the diagonals bisect each other in a rhombus ).

In triangle ABO , by pythagoras theorem,

(BO) sq. = (10) sq. - (8) sq. = root 36 = 6 cm.

1/2 BD = BO , or BD = 2 (BO) = 12 cm.
