Autobiography an Indian national flag

Dear Student,

I, the national flag of India was adopted on 22nd of July in 1947 (in the meeting of constituent assembly) as a symbol of unity and great victory. I am tricolour, therefore called Tiranga Jhanda. I stand for courage and inspiration. I make people ponder about the sacrifices our great Indian freedom fighters made for setting us free from the colonial rule. Getting freedom was not so easy. Our freedom was the result of massive blood shed and violence. Hence, people should always respect me and never let me go down for our motherland.

I am horizontal. I have strips of three colours saffron, white and green. The white strip in the middle has navy blue Ashok Chakra with 24 spokes. All the three colours, Ashok Chakra and 24 spokes depict specific aspects. The top most Saffron colour is the symbol of devotion and renunciation. The middle white color depicts peace and harmony. And the lowermost green colour is the symbol of youth and energy. However, the Ashoka Chakra (means Wheel of Ashoka) depicts peace and courageousness.

I was made using khadi cloth which is a hand-made fabric introduced by Mahatma Gandhi-the father of our nation. All the processes pertaining to the production and designing specifications are being taken care by the Bureau of Indian Standards. It is strictly not allowed our country to use the flag made up of any other cloth except Khadi. I always feel touched and special whenver the countrymen unfurl me on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day. You can easily see me in the hands of children running on Republic Day and Independence Day. I want that people should not  consider me important on these two days only but forever. Till the arrival of these two days, I keep lying in some deserted corner, covered in dust. I am nation's pride, don't keep me aside.

Regards
