# Consider a triangle with sides 3,6,8 cm respectivelty. Now if a man runs around the triangle in such a way that he is always at a distance of 1cm from the sides of triangle then how much distance will he travel.

The person is moving around the triangle in such a way that he is 1 cm away from the sides that is possible when he is moving around a circle at corners and normally 1 cm away at other points the figure can be given as,

Now exact length of the outer triangle cannot be find out because of the rounded edges but approx length can be,

So now the length of new circle that is approx will increase by 2 cm because of 1 cm increase in both the sides so,
side will be 3+2 cm, 6+2 cm , 8+2 cm or 5, 8, 10 cm .
So length covered = 5+8+10=23 cm approx.
