Difference between lustrous and non-lustrous materials?

Dear student ,

Lustrous materials : are those materials which are shiny in appearance. Usually all metals are lustrous.
Non- lustrous materials : which do not shine . Non- metals are non- lustrous except iodine.

Lustrous means shiny it is the property of metals. On the other hand non lustrous is the property of non metals which means not shiny.

objects that shine are known lustrous objects object that don't shine are called non lustrous object
