Does height stop increasing after age of 18 ? In girls and boys

As per the data, 18-20 is the maximum age to gain height. The height increases due to growth in Long bones. These bones have a cartilagenous disc like structure at the end, called epiphyseal plate. Once, an individual crosses adolescence is older than 20, these plates harden and loose their ability to lengthen the bones. Thus, ones height stops to grow.
