draw a line XY.Take two points M and P on opposite sides of XY.From M draw perpendicular on XY and from P draw a perpendicular on XY(use ruler and compass)

Answer :

We follow these steps :

Step 1 )  Draw a line XY  , and take two points M and P on opposite sides .

Step 2 )  Take arc larger than the perpendicular distance from the point " M  " to the line XY . Taking center " M " draw Two  arc that cut our line XY at E and F

Step 3 )  With same radius  take center E and F draw two arc other side of point " M "  these arc intersect at " G  "

Step 4 )  Join line MG , so  MG is perpendicular on XY

Step 5 )  Take arc larger than the perpendicular distance from the point " P  " to the line XY . Taking center " P " draw Two arc that cut our line XY at A and B

Step 6 )  With same radius  take center A and B draw two arc other side of point " P "  these arc intersect at " C  "

Step 7 )  Join line PC , so  PC is perpendicular on XY
