explain direct and indirect mode of spread
Direct transmission means when there is direct physical contact between infected and healthy person. Many diseases spread throuh direct contact such as chicken pox, common cold etc. It may occur by
- Direct contact with blood or body fluids. For example, kissing, sexual contact, touching etc.
Indirect transmission means when there is no human to human contact. The means of indirect transmission are;
- Through air. E.g, common cold etc.
- Through contaminated water and food. E.g, typhoid, polio etc.
- Through vectors like mosquitoes, mites etc. E.g, malaria, dengue etc
