Explain the position of India textiles in the international market before machines were introduced in India?

Indian textiles had a heavy demand in the international market. Cotton textiles made huge profit as the clothes made out of cotton were comfortable to wear. Moreover, the finish of the hand-made cotton products were good and attracted more customers abroad.
