find the angle which is triple of its supplement

Solution:

Let us assume that the one of the angle be Xo, then the other angle will be 3Xo.

As we know that in supplementary angle the sum of two angles is equal to 180o.

X + 3X = 180

4X = 180

X = 180/4 = 45o.

Since one angle is 45o, then the other angle will be 3X = 3 x 45 = 135o.

Ans: 45o and 135o.
