find the area of a triangle when two sides are 24cm and 10cm and the perimeter of the triangle is 62cm

Let the third side be x.

24 cm + 10 cm + x = 62 cm

=> 34 cm + x = 62 cm

=> x= 28cm

 

semiperimeter( s ) = 1/2 X 62 = 31 cm

By Heron's Formula :

area of triangle= root over{ 31( 31- 24)(31- 10)( 31 - 28)} cm2

= root over{ 31 X 7 X 21 X 3 } cm2

= root over{ 31 X 21 X 21 }cm2

= 21 X root over (31) = 116.92... cm2

 

ANSWER= 116.92 cm2.

= 62 cm = 24 cm + 10 cm + AC

= 62 cm= 34 cm + AC

= Ac = 62 cm - 34 cm

= AC= 28cm ....

Ab= 24cm..

BC= 10 cm

CA= 28 cm..

semi- perimetre= AB + BC + CA /2

= 24 + 10 +28 /2

= 62/2

= 31 cm

according to heron formula.. ,

area =√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= √ 31*7*21*3

= √31*7*7*3*3

=7*3√31cm2 

=21√31 cm2 ans. ..
