(a). Adrenaline is known as the emergency hormone because it is released by the adrenal glands under the conditions of stress or excitement. This hormone is also a part of the body’s stress response called the fight or flight response. It acts by increasing alertness, pupilary dilation, piloerection (raising of hair), Increasing heart beat, respiration rate, Stimulating the breakdown of glucose, lipids and proteins. Thus, prepares the body to deal with the emergency situations.
(b). The secretion of the growth hormone should be specific, because the excess and deficiency both result in the abnormalities. For example, 
1. Excess - The oversecretion of the growth hormone can cause acromegaly (excess thickening of the bones)  or the gigantism (excessive growth).
2. Deficiency - The undersecretion of the grwoth hormone can result in the growth failure and short stature.
