give an experiment to show that like poles repel each other while unlike poles attract each other?

If we take two magnets and if bring closer both the North poles then you can feel the power of repultion.
If we bring one North pole & one South pole near then you can feel the power of attraction.
If you suspend the magnets by a wire perhaps it'd be better.
