Oral contraceptive pills are artificial synthesised derivatives of
female hormones oestrogen and progesterone These hormones are
artificially reproduced and made in form of pills which women take
to prevent pregnancy Some pills have both oestrogen and
progesterone hormone which prevents the release of egg from ovary
and some pills have only progesterone which makes uterus thick
which does not allow the sperm to travel into the uterus
