How are the Cheif minister and her/his ministers accountable to the people?

Dear student,
The Chief Minister holds the same position in the state as the prime minister in the Centre. He is the effective head of the State. The CM and his appointed Council of Ministers work for the welfare, growth and betterment of the state.

CM is the kingpin in the State Administration. He along with his council of ministers takes up the administration of the state after getting the plans and proposals approved from the Governor.

CM makes and formulates the important policies and announcements in the legislature and defends government policy in the House.

The CM looks into the fairs of the State and also builds a good rapport with the Centre.
The the chief minister and the state cabinet enjoys their position in the legislative assembly as long as they have the confidence of the assembl, this theory explains that they would have to be responsible towards the people through guiding the policies of state towards welfare notion of the constitution otherwise they would have to let go of their positions.
