how do desert animals survive without water
Animals that live in the desert cope with extreme temperatures and lack of water in various ways. Many desert animals do not have to drink at all, they get all the water they need from their food. Aestivation and absence of sweat glands also helps many desert animals to prevent water loss.
Desert animals are specially adapted to the dry conditions. Most of them do not need to drink water, but obtain sufficient moisture from the foods they eat. Some desert animals burrow down deep to find water. Others are specifically "shaped" to collect water.
