Planting trees on large scale helps to reduce pollution caused due to the burning of fossil fuels by absorbing the carbon dioxide released by burning of fossil fuels and in turn replenishing the atmosphere with oxygen. They also trap other pollutants such as dust, ash, smoke and other harmful gases.
