how many litres of a 5.0%(w/v) glucose solution would you take to obtain 75 g glucose

The mass by volume percent of a solution is defined as

We are given that the solution is 5 % (w / V). This means that 5 g of solute is present per 100 ml of solution. We are given that the mass of solute to be obtained is 75 g. Let y ml be the volume of solution that contains 75 g of glucose. Therefore we have

 5 = (75 / y) X 100

 This gives  y  = (75 / 5 ) X 100

 = 1500 ml = 1.5 Litres

Hence the volume of solution that would be required is 1.5 Litres.
