D=21/8 first term is 49/8

use this formula tn=a+(n-1)d put there first n=5 u will get something like this t5=a+4d then t5 =14 therefore the equation becomes 14=a+4d and similarly you will get 35=a+11d solve this euation by simulataneous or any other method u want to u will get difference = 3... then put the value of d in any of the above eqn to get the first term
