Dear student,
In G2 phase chromosome number is 20 and DNA amount is 8C which means replication has occurred in S phase and the amount of DNA has increased to 8C. In anaphase the chromatids separate therefore the number of chromosome will double from 20 to 40 but the amount of DNA will remain the same i.e 8C. So, in anaphase of mitosis chromosome number = 40 and DNA content is 8C.
