(x , -1) belong to the set {(a , b) : b =2a-3}

therefore

$- 1 = 2 x - 3 2 x = 3 - 1 2 x = 2 \Rightarrow x = \frac{2}{2} = 1$

(5 , y) belong to the set {(a , b) : b =2a-3}

$y = 2 * 5 - 3 y = 10 - 3 y = 7$
