In page 34-35 of Civics 7, there is "A debate in the Legislative Assembly", on the basis of that I request the experts to answer the following:
- If you were the health minister, how would you respond to the above discussion?

With reference to the above mentioned debate, the following points may help you:
a. As a heath minister , I would definitely give a listening era to my worthy opponents and their views.
b. As MLA's belonging to the opposition party have pointed out issues like pathetic condition in Government hospitals, about outbreak of diarrhoea as also about lack of availability of safe clean drinking water.
c. I would give them all necessary details about the efforts made by the government in dealing with the above mentioned crisis.
d. I would also set up an investigation committee to probe into the deaths of diarrhoea and situation in hospitals , particularly with regard to availability of doctors . I would set up a deadline for committee to submit its report within a week so that corrective steps can be taken without any delay.
e. I would personally take a tour of hospitals.
f. I would ensure that basic medical facilities, distribution of ORS packets are done.
g. Further, I would ensure that nearby ponds and lakes are regularly cleaned and look for alternate measures of safe drinking water to counter water shortage in Tolpatti constituency.
