i.pows varoli
ii.oviducal funnel
Dear Student,
Pons Varolii-
Pons Varolii-
- Location- Pons Varolii is a band of nerve fibers in the brain connecting the lobes of the midbrain, medulla, and cerebrum.
- Functions-
- The pons relays sensory information between the cerebellum and cerebrum and aids in relaying other messages in the brain as well.
- It also controls arousal and regulates respiration.
- Location- In the female reproductive system each oviduct (fallopian tube) shaped like a funnel which is known as an infundibulum (the oviducal funnel).
- Functions-
- It consists of finger-like structures called fimbriae, which move on the ovary.
- When an ovum has released from the ovary, the infundibulum directs the ovum into the fallopian tube, where the fertilization occurs.
