4. What will happen if two ends of a copper wire are connected to two ends of a dry cell.

Potential difference will be generated between the two ends of the copper wire and hence the current will flow from the negative terminal of a cell to the positive terminal of the cell through the copper wire .After a certain time due to excessive flow of current the wire wil get heated up due to the short of the copper wire between the terminals of the cell.
