The areas in India which get more than 400 cm of rainfall are:

1. The Western Coast including coastal areas of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala.
2. The North-Eastern India receives rainfall over 400 cm. Mawsynram and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya receive maximum rainfall in the world.
3. The Andaman Islands and Lakshadweep Islands also receive annual rainfall above 400 cm.
