Dear Sir,
This is with reference to the social service done by Miss Jiya, Master Adwait and Master Pranit, residents of our society, in rescuing and rehabilitating a few old beggars from our neighbourhood. These students ensured that the beggars were rehabilitated at ‘Seva Sadan’- an NGO which takes care of the needy of our city.
Actually, after the heavy rains that took place last month, these beggars were in very bad condition and had no food, water or shelter. People could not help them as they were concerned about their own safety but the young children showed extreme courage and went out of their way to help these beggars with the limited resources they had.
This selfless initiative carried out with dedication and responsibility, deserves due recognition. I, therefore, would like to nominate their names for the ‘Serving Citizens Award’ and believe that they are truly worthy of it..
