Dear friend,

2 root 2 is a polynomial of degree '0'. This is because it can be written as 2 root 2 x^0. These types of polynomial are known as constant polynomial.

Example:
5 can be written as 5x^0
4 can be written as 4x^0

As anything to the power 0 is 1 so this doesn't create any difference.

Hope this answer is helpful :)

√2 = -√2x°. Hence, √2 is a polynomial of degree 0, because the exponent of x is 0.
