age after 4 yrs = (x + 4) yrs

age before 3 yrs = (x - 3) yrs.

according to question, 

x = 4 [(x + 4) - (x - 3) ] = 4[x + 4 - x + 3] = 4 × 7 = 28

So the present age of mine = 28 yrs
