Predict how and why the ovum released from the ovary is able to travel all the way to the uterus.

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

After its release from the ovary at the time of ovulation, ovum is taken up by fallopian tubes. If fertilization occurs, then this fertilised ovum travels down and gets implanted in uterus lining and if fertilization does not occur, it travels down to uterus and disintegrates.
It travels to the uterus because it is the only suitable place for disintegration or for embedding of fertilized ovum.
