ii.  12 x 3 y 4 + 16 x 2 y 5 - 4 x 5 y 2

Dear Student,

To Factorize : (i) (y-x)a+(x-y)b             (ii) 12x3y4+16x2y5-4x5y2solution : (i) (y-x)a+(x-y)b=(y-x)a-(-x+y)b    (taking minus commom from second term)=(y-x)a-(y-x)b=(y-x)(a-b)    {taking (y-x) common from both the terms}(ii) 12x3y4+16x2y5-4x5y2=4x2y2(3xy2+4y3-x3)    { taking 4x2y2 common from all three terms}
