My mother at sixty six is a sensual poem written in melancholic refrain. It deals with daughter mother relationships. A child by nature is insecure for mother. The poet also had a childhood fear- fear of losing her mother. The poet feels intense pain and agony to realise that soon death will separate her from her mother.
