Que: On which occasion formal and informal invitations are given?

Dear student,

- Any formal occasion calls for a formal invitation. It could be an invitation to an awards function, Annual Day, inauguration of a new scheme by the government. You are expected to follow formality on such occasions. These invitations are printed with use of formal language.
- An informal invitation could be one that you give out to your friends for your birthday party or a sleepover or for attending an occasion at your place. These are usually in the form of emails or letters.
