the perimeter of a parallelogram is 28 cm and ratio of the adjacent sides is 3:4 find the sides of a parallelogram?

let the adjacent sides of the parallelogram be  3x and 4x.

perimeter = 2*(3x+4x) = 2*7x = 14x

thus

thus the adjacent sides of the parallelogram are 3*2 and 4*2 i.e. 6 cm and 8 cm

since the opposite sides of the parallelogram are equal.

therefore the sides of the parallelogram are 6 cm , 8 cm , 6 cm and 8 cm .

hope this helps you.

cheers!!

Alright,so the perimeter of a parallelogram = Sum of all sides or 2 x (sum of adjacent sides)

Let the adjacent sides be c and d

so 2 x (c + d) = 28 cm

c+d = 28 divided by 2

c+d = 14

Alright,so thesum of the adjacent sides is 14 and their ratio is 3:4 i.e. 3c:4d

The total ratio is 3+4=7

so 3/7 x 14 = c

     6 = c

and 4/7 x 14 = d

     8 = d

so the sides of the parallelogram are 8 cm,6cm,8cm and 6 cm respectively
