we know that, sum of the probability of any event is 1
so, probability of guessing correct ans + probability of not guessing correct ans = 1
i.e  x/3 + 5x/3 = 1
i.e. 6x/3 = 1
i.e. x = 1/2
therefore the value of x is 1/2
