The scope of Consumer Protection Act is wide in the sense that it provides protection to consumers against various forms of exploitation such as defective goods, deficiency in services and unfair trade practises.The Consumer Protection Act provides a scope for a three-tier machinery consisting of District Forum, State Commission and National Commission for redressal of consumer grievances.This act can be applied in all the tasks, any big or small firm/customer, public entities, private enterprises, cooperatives societies, producer or retailer etc.
