  1. transformer is a device used to convert  high alternating voltage at low current to low alternating voltage at high current  and vice-versa.

according to ohm's law, V is proportional to I,

 

so high current means high voltage. then what abt the definition of  transistor??

2.  AC is used for transmission in cables. why?

 2nd Question -> give two disadvantages of transmitting AC over long distances at low voltage and high current.( here,again low V and high I as in the first question !!!). pls help.
