Answer : 

We have  9.8 x  - 13.8  =  2.7  - $\frac{1}{5}$x  

9.8 x + $\frac{1}{5}$x   =  2.7 + 13.8 

Taking L.C.M. we get 

$\frac{49x + x}{5}$   =  16.5 

$\frac{50x}{5}$  =  16.5

10x  =  16.5

x  =  1.65 

Now to verify , we substitute value of x  =  1.65 in our given equation and get 

9.8 ( 1.65 ) - 13.8   =  2.7 ​ - ( $\frac{1}{5}$1.65 )
