'We are nothing but a set of values'. Discuss the statement with reference to the story?

Dear Student,

We completely agree with the statement that ‘we are nothing but a set of values’. In the story, both the boys had a passion for horses but they could not do anything because of poverty. They knew that it would never be possible for them to buy a horse. To fulfill this desire, the elder boy stole a white, beautiful horse. Both the boys enjoyed riding on the horse. To them it was not something wrong as they never thought of selling that horse. But along with this, they were also aware that their family was known for their honesty. They knew that such an act would ruin their family’s prestige. They did not want to lose the trust of their family. They wanted to uphold the reputation of their family. And so they gave the horse back to the owner.  For them, their family values were much more important than their own aspirations.
