What are the definition,examples ,non-examples and characteristics of hemisphere

Dear student
In geometry it is an exact half of a sphere.
Examples: A grapefruit cut in half would result in two hemispheres. A cherry cut in half would result in two hemispheres. A meatball cut in half would result in two hemispheres.
Non-examples: ball, cherry etc

A hemisphere is the half of a sphere cut through a plane passing through its center 
example: half of sphere, a globe, or celestial body.
 
Hemispheres are divided into two types Northern hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere.
