what does the horse symbolise on the basis of the chapter the summer with the beautiful white horse ?

Dear student

The horse is a symbolic representation of the untamed human spirit, wanderlust and the search for freedom. Before Mourad stole the horse, its only purpose was to pull John Byro's cart. Just as people who constantly work feel stressed due to their work and work conditions, the horse was also stressed. Mourad released the horse, and allowed it to run across the fields as it wished. No longer bound by the cart and John Byro’s rules, it flourished and became stronger and better tempered. This is similar to the human spirit that revels in freedom and being free.
