what is meant by super male& super female??
Normal males(XY) inherit X and Y chromosome while females(XX) have two X chromosomes.
Sometimes due to chromosomal abnormalities, the genotype of male and female may vary. Chromosomal abnormalities mostly occur in sex chromosomes.
- Women who inherit three X chromosomes have their genotype as XXX. These women are called as super-females. They may exhibit tallness than average, very long legs, slender torsos, ovary abnormalities and slight learning difficulties. They look and act normally. This condition is known as Triple-X syndrome.
- Males inherit an extra Y chromosome have their genotype as XYY. These men are known as super-males. They may exhibit above 6 feet tallness, produce high levels of testosterone. They look and act normally. This condition is known as XYY syndrome.
