Mass by mass percentage give us the amount of solute (in grams) present in given mass of solution (in grams/kg).

$M a s s % o f a s o l u t e = \frac{M a s s o f s o l u t e i n g r a m s}{T o t a l m a s s o f t h e s o l u t i o n} x 100$

Volume by volume percentage gives us the volume of solute (in ml or L) present in given volume of the solution (in ml or L).

$V o l u m e % o f t h e s o l u t e = \frac{V o l u m e o f t h e s o l u t e i n m L}{T o t a l v o l u m e o f t h e s o l u t i o n i n m L} x 100$

Mass by volume percentage gives us the amount of solute (in grams) present in given volume of the solution (in mL or L)

$M a s s / v o l u m e % o f t h e s o l u t e = \frac{M a s s o f s o l u t e i n g r a m s}{T o t a l v o l u m e o f s o l u t i o n i n m L} x 100$
