What is the difference between volatile and sublime?

Dear student!

Volatile substance is that which may convert from liquid to gaseous form at ordinary room temperature but a sublimate is a substance which undergo sublimation and converts from solid to vapor directly without converting into liquid state. ex: Camphor.

Volatile - A substance that vaporizes at room temperature or vaporizes easily is called volatile.

Sublime - A substance that converts directly from solid into gas on heating is called sublime.
