What is the need of packing and disadvantages of bad packing

Dear Student,
Given below is the answer to your question.

Packing, according to the chapter, was a preparation for the trip they were to undertake. However, the packing was very unorganized and chaotic. The disadvantages of  the bad packing was that they had to unpack a couple of times to check for things they would have forgotten. As soon as he finished packing the first time, Harris enquired if he had packed his boots and looking around, he found that he hadn't. Therefore, he had to unpack the pack. As soon as he was going to close it again, he remembered that he had to make sure if his tooth-brush was inside, as it was something that he forgot on every trip. After repacking again, George asked him if he had packed the soap, to which he replied that he wasn't bothered about it. Finally, J realises that he had packed his tobacco-pouch in it and had to unpack again, in order to get hold of it. Thus, the author needed to pack many times before strapping it finally. Also, this unorganized could, they assumed, have broken many things in the baggage.
