Mushroom is an example of Basidiomycota and Agaricomycetes. Hence mushroom comes under fungi. It is a type of fungi which are edible. Some mushrooms are poisonous also.
The study of fungi is known as Mycology. Mycology is the branch of biology deals with the study of taxonomic, genetic,
and biochemical properties of fungi.
