When solute potential increase

When solute potential increase (1) Positive (3) Always zero (2) Negative (4) Greater than one When solute potential increases then water potential would (I) Increase (2) Decrease (3) Remain same (4) First increase then decrease The hydrostatic pressure which develops due to entry of water into a plant cell is

Dear student,
Option (2) will be the answer.
The water potential will decrease because as we know in pure water the value of water potential is maximum ., it is zero. Addition of solutes reduces the free energy of water. If the soluteconcentration of a solution increases, the potential for the water in that solution to undergoing osmosis decreases.

Hope this helps,
Regards..
