Which equations graph is at a distance 3 units to the left of y axis? X=3, X=_3 ,or Y=X

Dear Student,
Please note for,
1. x =3, the graph would be a vertical straight line parallel to the y-axis (perpendicular to the x-axis), intersecting the x-axis at x = +3
Since the x-coordinate is always positive, the line would lie at a distance of 3 units form the y-axis towards the right side.

2.  x = - 3, the graph would be a vertical straight line parallel to the y-axis (perpendicular to the x-axis), intersecting the x-axis at x = -3 .Since the x-coordinate is always negative, the line would lie at a distance of 3 units form the y-axis towards the left side.

3. For y = x, the line would be at an angle of 45 degrees w.r.t. both the x and y axes and thus the distance of every point on the line would be different w.r.t. the y-axis

Hence , x= - 3 is the answer
