Why can snow leopard,yak etc. can't survive(live)in deserts?????????

Snow leopard, yak and certain other animals are well adapted to the cold climate. Their fur helps them to live in colder regions by not allowing heat to escape out from their body. Just imagine if you put these animals in deserts what will happen? Definitely they will die. Understand this by a simple example: You wear sweater when you are at hill station and what will happen if you will be forced to wear sweater in hot desert also? Same happens with these animals. They have such a body structure which helps them to survive in specific condition or area.
