Why did the king order to hang someone immidately?{the tale of melon city}

Dear Student,

When the architect, blamed by the masons for making the arch too low, pointed at the king for having changed the original plans that led to the arch being low, the king ordered a counsel from the wisest man in the city. The wisest man chosen as the person who lived the most years, declared that the arch had knocked the crown off and so it must be hanged right away. But the arch having touched the king's head could not hanged, and therefore the crowd got impatient and wanted a decision. This made the king order that someone should be hanged immediately.

Regards
