Why do we burp after having carbonated drinks ?

We burp after having carbonated beverage like soda. In soda there are so many tiny bubbles are present, the bubbles are carbon dioxide. As you drink the carbonated beverage, carbon dioxide collects in your stomach. The more soda you drink, the more carbon dioxide bubbles enter your digestive system. When sufficient amounts of carbon dioxide gas have collected, your body must expel the gas.To liberate this trapped gas from the stomach, we burp.
