Why do we wear the clothes suited to weather?

 Weather effects the clothing that we wear like if it is raining we usually wear a raincoat, boots and carry an umbrella. When it is warm and sunny we usually wear cotton clothes. When it is could or snowing we usually wear jackets, sweaters etc. we wear clothes suited to weather to protect our body from harsh climate and to keep our body warm or cool.
